As of now, the only supported payment gateway on Subbly is Stripe. Stripe is considered a gold standard in the subscription industry and has many perks of being used as a payment processor for subscriptions, one of the most common ones being a whitelabeled solution, unlike many more. 

As of now, we're working on integrating with other payment processing units as well (such as PayPal or Authnet).


How do I connect Stripe to my Subbly account?

❗ Having Stripe connected as absolutely mandatory in order for your checkouts to be live and for you to be able to accept payments and make money 💵 off your subscription store on Subbly.

In order to connect with Stripe do the following:

  • login to your Subbly admin
  • go here
  • click on Connect Stripe button at the top of the page

At this point, you will be taken off Subbly and to the Stripe admin where you can either:

  1. use existing Stripe account if you already have one and choose to Sign In by clicking the button in the top right corner of the screen
  2. or proceed with populating data on the page in order to create a new account with Stripe and to connect it to your Subbly (shouldn't take more than 5 minutes ⌚`)

After you're done with it, you will know that you have your Stripe account properly connected if you're seeing your Stripe ID by looking into the payment gateway field on this page here


How to disconnect Stripe account and connect another one?

If, at some point, you'd want to disconnect Subbly from your connected Stripe account, you will need to do that from inside your Stripe admin by navigating over to Settings > Authorized Applications as in the picture below.

From here, you'll need to choose to Revoke Access to Subbly and remove it as a connected app. 

❗❗ Note that there are some serious repercussions if you're removing Stripe account if you already have active customers on connected Subbly account so make sure to double check with customer support if it's OK for you to change this!
